Steff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for the harbour, ferries, shopping and restaurants in downtown. Parking space underground was very convenient for us and though there was a charge this was lower than most hotels charge in the area at $32 a night. Room very comfortable and clean. Loved the pool! Will be staying again.

Located in the leafy suburb of Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore district, FERNZ Motel & Apartments Birkenhead offers accommodation within a 15-minute drive from Auckland CBD. In a cute little neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafés, a supermarket and more all within walking distance. We had a car, so getting around was easy; most places in the city like the CBD, Parnell, Takapuna Beach and Albany were about 10–40 minutes away (even with traffic jam). The place had heaps of amenities too: dishwasher, oven, induction stove, microwave, washing machine, dryer, etc. Really felt like a little home away from home. The bathroom floor and towel rack were heated, which was a nice touch, and the water pressure was pretty great. Everything was super clean! The A/C worked well, and the view was great! The air was so fresh and clean.
