We loved everything but we always first start with people. There were two guys at reception desk, both extremely kind, helping us with all the information we needed. The room was very comfortable, the best beds on our whole trip, it was like sleeping on the cloud:). Explanation about the winery and wine tasting comes as a bonus. Here too, the guy was kind and super professional. Breakfast very good, served with a smile of ladies who were around all the time. The place where thex care about guest. At the end the red hair lady asked us with a big smile if we enjoyed our stay. Yes, we did, very much, thank you!

Inês and her husband are very caring hosts, when we arrived, we had a small welcoming from them and a presentation on the propriety and how the amenities were organised, the atmosphere was very relaxing and calm, the view is amazing and the pool has a decent size and is not very deep. To bath on the pool looking and the douro river and all the vineyards is just breathtaking. The breakfast has a great variety of food, homemade scones, cakes, and fruit you can choose from and Inês and her Husband are ready to help you if need. The rooms are big enough for a great night sleep. The other guests seemed to be on the same mood, everyone was very quiet and everyone behaved. There are a variety of nearby restaurants you can choose from if you like to get some lunch or dinner. Overall, if you need to get away from your world and enter a new dimension, this is a place to go to!.

With 55 rooms and 6 suites, all with plenty of natural light and panoramic views. All units are equipped with a flat-screen TV and free WIFI. Bathrooms include a free-standing tub as well as free toiletries. The staff were so helpful and our dog Ted was made very welcome. Beautiful location and the hotel facilities were very modern & clean.

Some rooms have a private balcony. We should have stayed longer. 2 nigh was not enough to properly appreciate the location and service this hotel offered. Beautiful location, with views to the river, excellent food, comfortable rooms and bed, quiet relaxation. Massage also available. Staff is more than happy to assist anything you might need. Leisurely drive away from fantastic wineries. I would highly recommend it.

Mama Maria is an incredible women , made us feel like we were part of her family….. if you looking for a real Portuguese experience this is where you want to stay . This was the highlight of our entire trip around Portugal! Thank you mama Maria for making our stay so special , you are an inspiration to many !
