The staff at the property were amazing. Specific mention for our waiters at the restaurant, they were extremely passionate about the food and were very knowledgable about all aspects of the region, we learnt so much. Further, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had a huge variety of food. Would highly recommend the Vine House to everyone.

Delfim Douro Hotel was in one word Fantastic, even with a minor incident, what the staff directly and very professional corrected. The moment you walk in, the staff is there. With all the friendly help and the pre-checking was quickly. Everything was in my eyes perfect. We loved also that the hotel helped employees with a handicap, to see the Hotel is not afraid to have employee in a in the wheelchair, who solved our little problem with all the professionalism you can get. The restaurant was great, good food for a decent price, good variety wine and loved the desert, Florest chocolate, you have to try it. :-)

This property is basically a cluster of three houses, with the inn/bedrooms in a delightful, renovated traditional multi-story house, and the dining and reception space in the main house. The owner Miguel was born to be a host. He was quite literally one of the nicest and most outgoing person that I have met. The highlight of the stay is the evening meal, complete with reception, then communal dining with multi-course homemade cuisine and his estate wine. The meal was akin to a United Nations social, with Miguel happily chatting (in multiple languages) with the guests as he worked. One of the highlights of our trip to the Douro Valley.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner.
