Lovely pool and open space, with outdoor and indoor dining options. Food was very good. Service was excellent(!), drinks very good. Room clean and spacious with nice shower and very comfortable bed. Hotel arranged transport (extra, but reasonable cost)from Victoria Falls airport and afterwards to a hotel in VF. Booked two game drives in Chobe and boat safari cruise through the hotel at very good rates. Saw lions, lots of elephants, as well as hippos, buffalo, birds, antelopes, crocodile, etc. Enjoyed time on the viewing deck. Good view of stars at night. It was an excellent stay at an excellent price. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

It felt just like being at home….Gloria and her wonderful staff went out of their way to make my stay very relaxing and enjoyable! Gloria was the perfect tour guide and made arrangements for me to go to Victoria Falls, Sunset River Cruise, Chobe National Park, Villages Tour and more! She also recommended restaurants in the area, and provided transportation herself. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shalakwe Hills!!

Nothing. We were booked in for 2 nights. Had confirmation email 2 weeks in advance. Speaking with the staff on route to lodge. After driving 6 hrs arrive at lodge to be be told sorry been a mistake with your booking you can only stay 1 night.

Excellent location, well positioned in a quiet area and within easy walking access to the main centre. Efficient and friendly staff, especially the hostess, who helped me so much and went above and beyond to make my stay there extremely smooth. She helped me organize so many things and was truly a blessing. I appreciated being able to leave my Hire vehicle parked securely there whilst I went for a short trip to Zimbabwe. Also assisted me to organize the shuttle transport to and from Zimbabwe as well - really extremely helpful. Clean and spacious room, and an excellent breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended.

Kasane is a beautiful tourist area
There are a lot of choices of restuarants where you can dine at.
I really enjoyed every area we visited in Kasane
My kids loved the boat cruise and game drive and visited Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe as is close by Kasane and they really enjoyed their time there.
We even visited the Botswana Zambia Bridge, we really had an awesome time there.

Kasane is a great place to explore Chobe river front by both vehicle and boat. It has a good range of shops/ food / drink options and you might be lucky to see the resident warthog or banded mongoose families wandering about round town. They are perfectly harmless!
It is also very easy (at least in season) to join a tour to Victoria Falls for a day.
Most people are passing through as self drivers or on organised tours but I have now stayed twice, without a vehicle, and had a great time using local tour companies for wildlife adventures. It's a wonderful place!

Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Personally, I would prefer staying in Livingstone and doing a day trip to Kasane, as it offers a wider range of quality stays and overall a more well-rounded experience.
