Located in Kasane, Plateau Guest House features a garden and shared lounge. The property is around 3.7 miles from Sedudu Gate Chobe National Park and 1.1 miles from Kalahari Holiday Tours. Everything was fine- it just seemed expensive for being detached from town and having to take a taxi to go to a restaurant or store. The area is relatively quiet though. The staff was really nice and helpful, but difficult to get practical information from.

Kasane is okay for a quick Chobe River trip or even a safari into the Chobe Forest, which is beautiful. This was the end of our safari, and I preferred our safari planned out of Maun. Kasane was too touristy for my taste. But it does have all of the services you could want. Kalahari tours next door has a great gift shop. The river trip with elephants and hippos is a treat. It's a beautiful river.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Indian restaurant (though it took a while to get our food, it was tasty) and the Hunter's Pub. There are not a lot of other entertainment options in Kasane other than the boat and driven safaris into the park, but those were both wonderful - especially the afternoon boat tour.
Kasane has always been a super place to be and i have gone there for many years,,,, i took friends there this year that had never been to Africa never mind North Botswana they loved it REALLY loved it,,,Thank you Kasane, Botswana and Kazungula Residence
Kasane was just right for one night for us but Chobe River Cottages self catering could also be used for multiple nights and Kasane used as an exit point to explore the Chobe National Park area as well as daytripping to Victoria Falls among other attractions in the area.
Kasane is a nice little town which stretches along the Chobe River so we advise to stay there 2 nights and visit Chobe National Park, have a cruise and feel the river life and it has many lovely places to stay at in all different ranges! It is also the gateway to Livingstone and Kafue national Park in Zambia and on the other side Victoria Falls (1 hour drive) after which you can combine it with more Zimbabwe highlights as Hwange National Park, Lake Kariba, Matopos National Park, Great Zimbabwe Ruins etc!
Kasane has plentiful of scenery, activities, lodges, restaurants to choose from. It has one of the best wildlife reserves and would recommend this area to anyone who is looking for adventure and wildlife scenery. Amazing place.
