I got a nice, spacious twin beds-room for $60 a night, close to the airport as advertised (6 mins drive? from airport, about 20 RMB for taxi). Staff were nice and there’s a restaurant in the hotel so you can get food for the night. I also left my universal charger at the hotel, didn’t realize until I flew to the next destination, and I messaged them about it. They were so prompt in their reply and helped me sort it out through WeChat and I paid 26 RMB for them to ship it back to me the next day (shipping domestically in China)! It was also packaged well, with bubble wrap to prevent damage.

The room was specious and clean. The driver of the airport shuttle "Mr. Lee" is very very nice and super helpful.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Qingdao Hongdao Station by IHG for one night as a family during a transit before our next flight. Overall, the experience was wonderful. A special thanks to Betty at the reception, who was extremely helpful in arranging our two rooms on the same floor, her assistance made our stay very convenient. Everything else about the hotel was excellent: clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The only downside was that the internet connection was not very strong, but apart from that, everything was amazing. Highly recommended for short stays or transit.
