This is the perfect spot for a no-frills traveler who just needs a place to stay before catching a flight. It was immaculately clean, quiet, there was coffee in the coffee maker, and the host was very accommodating to my early flight departure. It was an easy three-block walk to the airport.

I only stayed for one night but it really matched my expectations. The room was clean and confortable, the breakfast was good and it's a 5 min walking distance from the airport. Shout out to the staff, the girls were kind and helpful. However, I would only recommmend Luna Hotel for those who are going to spend no more than 2 nights in Cartagena, since it's far from the city center (the main touristic area). It's convenient for a stopover only.

Nice city with an interesting historical centre and the coloured popular area of Getzemani; the Spanish city walls which protect the centre have a nice walk path "ronda. Nice restaurants and roof top terraces. the Castillo is a masterpiece to not miss and the subset from its top an amazing experience.

Hotels are pretty isolated, so you may not go to another restaurant in case you don't like yours. The beach on the 'more popular' part are facing the industry harbour and the rafinery, which impede the experience.

Beautiful historic old city centre, interesting museums, some great bars and cafes in shady squares. Fun to wander around the city walls with the sea on one side and new 'Dubai-like' tall buildings in the distance.

Tierra Bomba was a short 10-minute boat ride from Cartegena. It was situated on a long private beach with plenty of daybeds to choose from. The rooms were spacious and close to the pool/beach/restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. On our final night, we upgraded to the Private Villa with a Private pool and it was WELL WORTH IT! The private courtyard was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. The room was huge, comfortable and came with an outdoor bathroom.

It's a mix of old & new & has it's own charm.
It's a mix of old & new & has it's own charm. A little on the touristy side. We stayed for three weeks but Cartagena could be seen comfortably in five to seven days. We didn't go to any of the islands or do any excursions. The humidity is very high. Dress appropriately. The weather changes rapidly, carry an umbrella. The vendors are everywhere & can be annoying at times, but people need to do what they need to do. Traffic is a problem at peak times. The people are so nice & always willing to help or answer questions. We always felt very safe. Next time we will venture to some of the more remote areas outside of the city.

Please educate people in order that they understand that such a trash will not make people return for a second time.
Also I saw the most terrible image with local guys fihing with dynamite!!!
I was really shocked. I will not return to such a place.

This shared apartment unit or complex is literally two blocks from the Cartagena (CTG) airport; less than 10 minutes of walking. It is in a secured, well-lit, safe neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, groceries, and commercial businesses nearby. I mainly used this place as an overnight accommodation for my flight the next morning.
However, this would have been a nice area to stay for a visit to Cartagena since it is very close to the Walled City or Downtown area.
