The hotel is located in a quiet side street of Tinnum, with a parking facility for both car and bikes. The check-in was very pleasant and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable, as well as the bathroom. From my window I could enjoy a beautiful sunrise. What I loved the most was the breakfast, served in a lovely room, with plently of choices in terms of ham, salami, cheese, jams, juices and bakery. Would definitely recommend!

Parking was free of charge. Instructions were clear and some snacks greeted us as a nice welcome gesture. The response time from the host (via text only) was acceptable. There is a popular bakery (Bäckerei Raffelhüschen) 3 blocks away, but do take note it's only for takeaway. It was probably one of the cheapest options on the island for a family of 5.

Sea front and beach.
Sea front and beach. It's the North Sea though so tends to be windy and big waves.
Lots to enjoy in the rest of the island, picturesque sand dunes and heathland, little ports List and Hornum. Nice museums in Keitum.

Rantum is off the beaten track and in comparison to other villages rather quiet, which we love. The beach is fabulous, the Rantum Becken simply out of this world…. The supermarket in the village is great, but a good walk away (you can take the bus though and the walk is nice!). It has some great beach bars and restaurants and still has some proper Sylt flair (unlike Wenningstedt or Keitum for example which are totally ruined in my opinion….). Rantum is also close, but far enough from Westerland …

Great beaches and nature, and a wonderful harbor area with good casual fish restaurants away from the sometimes over-pretentious crowd at Kampen. KÖNIGSHAFEN is a wonderful restaurant for fine cuisine.

Amazing scenery for those that love nature, sand dunes, birds and mudflats. Also good selection of reasonably priced restaurants and bars and also lots of shops varying from reasonably prices souvenirs to expensive finer wares.

I live the island Sylt with all my heart.
I live the island Sylt with all my heart. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. A gem. The cities are all different. My favorite is the city Westerland. Great shopping . Food choices are great. A little expensive but a once in a life time experience. Promenade is beautiful. The beaches are beautiful. There is something for everyone !!! I love Strandstrasse
