Throughly enjoyed staying at the Amba Lodge. Gashaw and family were warm and wonderful hosts. Room was simple, clean and comfortable with the most amazing view from the terrace. The meals served at the Lodge are generous portions and we started the day with healthy fruits and honey. Gashaw picked us up at the airport and arranged all the visit itinerary. We also enjoyed a lovely short trek up at the Asheton Maryam monastery for some fantastic views with Gashaw as guide. We really appreciate that Gashaw never sells us anything we did not want. We had a peaceful trip without worrying about anything.

Dessiew helped me visiting the churches and the mountain. For those interested he can also help you plan your trip in other regions in Ethiopia. Belay was a great guide with lots of knowledge of the history of Lalibela. I can recommend everyone to stay here.
