ChinaI really recommend this apartment！So close to the airport and supermarkets. Very spacious, clean and convenient. Also, the hosts are very nice. I was on my period and felt really painful. The hosts kindly gave me medicine which helped me a lot. The only thing needed to remind is the route. Google would lead you to the red line, but it seems wrong. You should drive in blue line.

A quiet, compact, and very convenient base for exploring...
A quiet, compact, and very convenient base for exploring Vágar, with spectacular tides, several hiking opportunities, the Mykines ferry nearby, 3 bus stops, and the airport only about 20 minutes away on foot. There is a small grocery store open daily from 8:00 to 22:00 (with two larger grocery stores in nearby Miðvágur, about 10 minutes away), two cafés, a handful of places to eat out, a public toilet at the ferry harbor, and a gas station. Despite being small, Sørvágur has everything needed for a comfortable stay while still feeling peaceful and relaxed.

Vagar island has several places of interest and you can reach almost anywhere in the islands within one and a half hours by car. Bear in mind if staying here that you will have to pay a tunnel toll every time you leave this island. Miðvágur has two good supermarkets and a couple of fast food type restaurants.

Sandavágur is a quiet village, and besides its beautiful church does not stand out too much. It is quite conveniently located, only 10 km from the airport. Options for eating out, or even grocery shopping are limited within the village, and require travel to neighbouring villages. The local fish restaurant is highly recommended!
Some walking tracks are available, but it does not require a multi-day stay to visit the village and its immediate area. It is possible, but not ideal, to travel the Faroe Islands without a car.

we enjoyed the character of the house, the organization of its space, and the utter quietness. The area itself is special, and it is for nature and animal lovers. the house is well supplied, and makes staying there very easy.

Not so easy to get around the islands by public bus - you...
Not so easy to get around the islands by public bus - you always need to go via the capital, so day trips are tricky to organise. Vestmanna is a sweet, relaxing, genuine mid-sized "village" - the best thing to do is just walk, enjoy nature, make contact with people. It is relatively economical. The bird-cliffs are the main attraction (visit by boat).

Leynar is an ideal vantage point for your Faroe stay.
Leynar is an ideal vantage point for your Faroe stay. The island itself host many view points and of course the capital. There are stores nearby (relatively) and the tunnel to Vágar is just around the corner. If you’re staying multiple days, which you should, Leynar is truly ideal.

Postcard perfect village and if u look back across the harbour at night with the lights its magical. Little beach with incredible view up the right hand coastline provided perfect backdrop for doing tai chi.
Not too many amenities available like any of the villages outside torshavn and klaksvik so would recommend a visit to fk or bonus supermarket which is not far out the airport if u take a right rather than left to sorvagur. Bonus is cheaper.

A very convenient location when arriving by air from overseas. Just a few minutes' drive from the airport, its' a great base to get your bearings. The town has adequate grocery shopping and a petrol station and is convenient for exploring Gasadalur as well as crossing over to Streymoy and beyond.

Sandavagur is a beautiful place with lovely views and great hiking trails. We especially recommend a hike to the Witch's Finger. There is a small local grocery shop and a cafe' as well in the village.
