Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) Information

Location and Transport

Ngurah Rai International Airport offers easy access to Bali’s southern tourist spots, and is just 2 miles (3 kilometres) from Kuta’s resort centre and 8 miles (13 kilometres) from Denpasar. A taxi will take around 35 minutes to reach Denpasar and cost about IDR 125,000, while a taxi to Kuta costs around IDR 80,000.

Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities

There’s one hotel located within the airport and more found within 2 miles (3 kilometres) with shuttle services. Inside the terminals, you’ll find shops and lots of dining options. There’s also free WiFi, charging points for devices and a couple of mini-spas.

I liked the friendly staff. I did not like the traffic.

I liked the friendly staff. I did not like the traffic. Swimming pools were great, warm and inviting. We went to Ubud, waterfalls, monkeys, butterflies, and temple. All of which were great, but for elderly people the steep steps at the waterfalls was not great.

Good location, My accommodation was one of the cottages (this is not part of the new garden view, which I thought I had booked) great space for a family as it had adjoining rooms. Short walk to the Pool, Bar & Restaurant. Not sure that I would stay there again. Jenny

jimbran was a nice play to stay as it was near to air port where i stay it was just 10 min walk from jimbran beach for here GWK very nice cultural place to visit we can spend whole day here much more activities to do , ulu watu must see the sun set here temple and other beaches are near sea food at jimbran beast in candle light was best

Double 6 beach is great plenty of sun beds bars and restaurants open from early until late. lots of shops bars and restaurants on jl,Arjuna street known as double 6 street. Had some great meals at Yamma Yaa italian, Santorini Greek, Felicity Expresso, and Frankie's bar and grill are all worth a try. Seminyak square shopping mall is worth a visit and also the market not far from Seminyak square. our 3rd time in Seminyak hope to visit again.

Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to...

Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Be prepared to spend time in a vehicle as the traffic is a challenge at best. We went to one of the local malls, enjoying it immensely.

Kuta is Kuta untidy noisy and busy but we stayed in kuta to do our shopping before going to sanur to relax,the shopping was good and many eateries to choose from. Understand kuta before booking there it is not for everyone but it suited our needs perfectly.

I’m a senior & I love Legian. The footpaths are generally much better for strollers & familys with young children, compared to Seminyak. Lots of good restaurants close by. We walked everywhere & didn’t need transport until we went to the airport. 15 minute walk from Melasti Street up Legian Street, to Bintang Supermarket, which sells absolutely everything, from fresh fruit, meat, alcohol, toiletries & a great coffee shop next door.

I'm over 65 and a solo female traveller.

I'm over 65 and a solo female traveller. It's a beach and beach shack kind of place - there's spa's and beauty places scattered around too. I didn't get out. very much so I feel I am bbeing unfair in reviwing but they did ask :)

Was surprised by the standard and extent of the restaurants in the area. There were excellent. Exactly what I expected from the shopping. Go to the main street for massages facials etc. Rather than those on the side streets.

It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. It's very easy to get to the ports - one of the best port experiences I've had in Bali where you aren't overwhelmed by people trying to / demanding they order you taxis or sell you things.
