Location and Transport
Ngurah Rai International Airport offers easy access to Bali’s southern tourist spots, and is just 2 miles (3 kilometres) from Kuta’s resort centre and 8 miles (13 kilometres) from Denpasar. A taxi will take around 35 minutes to reach Denpasar and cost about IDR 125,000, while a taxi to Kuta costs around IDR 80,000.

Kuta is ok I did notice that there are a lot more Javanese stalls.
You can tell as there are no offerings at the front of stall. The traffic seem to have increased. I find it difficult finding suitable food as I am Gluten intolerant and most food seems to be wheat based now where as years ago they were rice based.

I like the Legian people, the Legian is a vibrant place with lots of commerce and plenty of restaurants to choose from, the scooter traffics. It's may first visit to Legian (Bali) an I had a good overall impression and, the beautiful and friendly people are amazing. Bali people you are wonderful!!
I am already looking forward to visit Bali again and know more restaurants around Legian.

This is a great area the apartment is not in Seminyak ,it’s in Legian. Restaurants are very good, easy walk to the beach, everything is so easy to get to either by walking or a cab ride.
Stayed in this area at least 1 dozen times

Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Be prepared to spend time in a vehicle as the traffic is a challenge at best. We went to one of the local malls, enjoying it immensely.

Kuta has lots of shopping and close to most things. easy to book excursions and get picked up. It is busy so itis noisy, but we didn't mind. The people on the street that keep trying to give you a free ticket are a pain as it is just timeshare accommodation, we just keep saying no, most leave you alone after this, but some will follow you and keep trying. The staff in the shops and restaurants give excellent serves. We did go to the dentist on our trip they are excellent Rejuvie Dental Center Kuta.

Legian is a very good beach for surfing and relaxed meals and drinks to watch the sun go down. Away from the beach there are very many restaurants of varying style and quality, although prices don't vary greatly.

It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. It's very easy to get to the ports - one of the best port experiences I've had in Bali where you aren't overwhelmed by people trying to / demanding they order you taxis or sell you things.
