Location and Transport
Ngurah Rai International Airport offers easy access to Bali’s southern tourist spots, and is just 2 miles (3 kilometres) from Kuta’s resort centre and 8 miles (13 kilometres) from Denpasar. A taxi will take around 35 minutes to reach Denpasar and cost about IDR 125,000, while a taxi to Kuta costs around IDR 80,000.

Kuta is a lively and vibrant area, with a great mix of beautiful beaches, restaurants, shops, cafés, and entertainment. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere during the day and the energy of the area in the evening. It is a convenient place to stay, especially for those who want to be close to the beach and have plenty of options nearby. Overall, Kuta is a fun and welcoming destination with something for everyone.

Legian was a great place to visit and stay, the people were great and very welcoming and pleasant to interact with. Legian was full of different places to eat and to grab a cool beverage. It is a great hub, as in central for getting out and exploring. From the sitting on the beach at night seeing fireworks and being waited on, to walking down the well known Garlic Lane for some great shopping to grabbing a Gojek to get around - all was a great experience :-)

jimbran was a nice play to stay as it was near to air port where i stay it was just 10 min walk from jimbran beach for here GWK very nice cultural place to visit we can spend whole day here much more activities to do , ulu watu must see the sun set here temple and other beaches are near sea food at jimbran beast in candle light was best

Double 6 beach is great plenty of sun beds bars and restaurants open from early until late. lots of shops bars and restaurants on jl,Arjuna street known as double 6 street. Had some great meals at Yamma Yaa italian, Santorini Greek, Felicity Expresso, and Frankie's bar and grill are all worth a try. Seminyak square shopping mall is worth a visit and also the market not far from Seminyak square. our 3rd time in Seminyak hope to visit again.

Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Be prepared to spend time in a vehicle as the traffic is a challenge at best. We went to one of the local malls, enjoying it immensely.

Very very busy with tourists & local people! A lit bit overcrowded for our liking but for young tourists who likes music & party atmosphere everyday & night Kuta is ideal!
to be honesty, parts of the Beach walkways are alittle messy with rubbish & cracked pathways - makes you alert & careful where you walk - All in all it was alittle it was a little noisy but pleasant

I like the Legian people, the Legian is a vibrant place with lots of commerce and plenty of restaurants to choose from, the scooter traffics. It's may first visit to Legian (Bali) an I had a good overall impression and, the beautiful and friendly people are amazing. Bali people you are wonderful!!
I am already looking forward to visit Bali again and know more restaurants around Legian.

I'm over 65 and a solo female traveller. It's a beach and beach shack kind of place - there's spa's and beauty places scattered around too. I didn't get out. very much so I feel I am bbeing unfair in reviwing but they did ask :)

Was surprised by the standard and extent of the restaurants in the area. There were excellent. Exactly what I expected from the shopping. Go to the main street for massages facials etc. Rather than those on the side streets.

It was easy to get around but little to do nearby. A great turtle conservation centre that will keep most people occupied for up to an hour. It's very easy to get to the ports - one of the best port experiences I've had in Bali where you aren't overwhelmed by people trying to / demanding they order you taxis or sell you things.
