Conveniently set in the Hakata Ward district of Fukuoka, ENZO / Vacation STAY 13247 is located 2.2 km from Level 5 Stadium, 2.9 km from Tsuya Park and 3 km from Tokokita Park. The location is actually very near to the domestic airport. Less than 5 mins. walk after you exit from the airport. Just follow their check in direction. Very clear & easy to find. The room is just like your own home, has a washing machine, basin, vacuum cleaner, small fridge, etc. Small & cosy. With the price I paid, it's really over my expectations. The airplane noises doesn't effect me much, not very loud (to me & I don't hink there's any plans flying in the middle of the night.). Hotel will keep sending emails to make sure you've no problem finding your way & check in. I'll definitely recommend others & will stay there again when I'm there.

Very clean, very affordable and great location. I stayed there because I needed to be very early at the airport next morning and it takes literally 5-6 minutes to the Domestic Terminal. The location is great-- within walking distance to the domestic terminal at fukuoka airport and from there it is a quick, free shuttle bus to the intl terminal. Both terminals are great in terms of food and shopping for souvenirs, so it can be said that the surrounding area has good amenities. The room itself seemed very new and was quite well-equipped in terms of facilities.

The manhole covers are awesome! They have series for the zoological park, the baseball team and transport to the soccer stadium. No two covers are identical. People don't even know they're there but once you start tracking them down it's addictive.
due to covid 19 ... all workers wearing mask and not pro active to talk much more tips from tourism to create how to explore this city eg; shopping tourists sightseeing tourist who want "hand on" from travelling from local to JR trains senior tourist who want to take it easy sightseeing at slower pace
Delicious food and some beautiful views. Possible day trip to Beppu, Dazaifu, Akiyoshido, Motonosumi Inari Jinja, or other Kyushu locations. Ten days was a little too long here, especially during this time when quite a few attractions are closed.
If you go to Fukuoka definitely fit in a little day trip to Nokonoshima, a small island only 10 minutes by ferry from the the city. It has a gorgeous flower park with stunning sunset views and the area where the ferry port is has nice food and beaches. In Fukuoka city itself, Ohori Park is a great spot for a relaxing walk with lovely views and Fukuoka Tower has great views of Hakata Bay and is lit up at night. The Canal City shopping mall has beautiful water shows and a whole area full of ramen restaurants with the local specialty, Hakata Ramen, and also from other parts of Japan. I also recommend taking a little river cruise around sunset, beautiful and relaxing. Notable temples and shrines are Nanzoin, with a massive bronze reclining Buddha statue, and Dazaifu Tenman-gu, a big shrine with lovely grounds and a little shopping street with great local crafts and souvenirs.
Fukuoka is one of my favorite places in Japan. It's a lot more relaxed than Tokyo, but there's still so much to do. Although the pandemic means we shouldn't travel unless it's absolutely necessary, in the future, I do recommend going to Fukuoka as an introduction to Japan, and in general. Although there's a lot of things in the prefecture that I would recommend, the one I'll suggest here is to go to Itoshima for oysters and other shellfish. It's a fairly long ride from Hakata Station (maybe about 90 minutes) but it's definitely worth it to go with a small group. of friends to enjoy a more rural area of Japan and good food.
Quality cuisine in almost every corner. Granted, it helps to know the language. When it comes to sightseeing, you have to commit to a 20-30 train ride to get somewhere good. Fukuoka Station is a great starting point.
