Providing a terrace, Bakushuku Den Guest House Brew provides accommodations in Matsuyama. We had an amazing stay at Bakushuku Den Guest House. Not only is the place itself very nice and clean, but we also felt very welcomed by the host. There is a small brewery run by the host, so we were able to enjoy a glass of delicious draft beer made right there. Thank you for having us – we would definitely come back!

いわしの子守唄 Sardine Lullaby is a recently renovated guest house in Matsuyama near Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine. This guest house provides free private parking, bicycle parking, and free Wifi. The breakfast, as others have said, is very exceptional (seafood based so not vegetarian). I guess the host was a chef or something of the sort for 30 years. The facilities were clean, and there were no problems. It was a convenient location for us because there were fireworks nearby on the night of our stay.

Located in Mitsuhama, 1.3 miles from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, 三津ミーツ provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Nice small well orgznized ryokan with tatami setup at the room. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with access to many nearby groceries like Lamu which operate 24hrs, and many other restaurants. Closer to the harbor seaside with short walking distance. The owner is really a nice lady which provided us lots of guidance to explore the nearby attraction places. Will certainly visit this place for a longer period in the near future!

Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama is located in Matsuyama, within 2 miles of Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 2.5 miles of Matsuyama Station. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. The hotel provides lots of toiletries to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning.

Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan is a recently renovated vacation home in Matsuyama where guests can make the most of the open-air bath and garden. The host was absolutely wonderful! The house was absolutely stunning, with so many beautiful items and lively fish pond! It was such a wonderful retreat even though we were out on long day trips and the futons were so comfortable! The host even drove us back to the ferry port which was so kind.

It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Aisul Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Just a minute’s walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Terminal Hotel Matsuyama houses a restaurant and offers Western-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free bicycle rentals are provided. Location was amazing, just right outside the JR station! Easy to commute to and fro other cities / parts of Matsuyama. Staff was also fluent in English which helped a lot with the check-in processes.
