I knew Nairobi well back in the 1970's. Since then it is now run down and in parts rather seedy. It has become totally overcrowded with people, hawkers, touts, buses etc. The pavements are in part broken and are in need of serious renovations.
🦁 An Unforgettable Nairobi Adventure! Nairobi truly surprised me with its vibrant blend of urban life and untamed wilderness. There’s so much to discover, inspiring Nairobi National Park where I witnessed wildlife up close, to the heart-melting experience of meeting orphaned elephants and feeding giraffes. One of the most enriching parts of the journey was exploring tea farming nestled within endless green landscapes. The city also won me over with its cozy restaurants, delicious food, and, most of all, the incredibly warm and welcoming people. Every moment in Nairobi felt like a new chapter of adventure, connection, and discovery. I can't wait to return! 🌿✨
A city alive with rhythm, warmth, and sky that feels eternal. From the morning sunrises over the skyline to the charm of its cafés and street life, Nairobi is both vibrant and grounding. I came for a stay—but left with a deep affection. I love this city. Take your time. Get to know the people. Embrace all that it has to offer.
This is the place to be in every sense. It is my number one spot! The decor, staff, high quality and value for money. The food was excellent. It's proximity to the express highway means quick access to CBD, game park and airport.
Nairobi has lots of attractions. The city is adjacent to Nairobi national park. So you don't have to go far to see wildlife. Nairobi has a large variety of restaurant to meet any taste. If you are a foodie Nairobi is the place to be your spoiled for choice between Kenya, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Somali, Korean, Italian, Brazilian cuisine and many more.
Villa Rock Stop Falls Gigiri! In the heart of the city lies a neighborhood that beats with authenticity and warmth. Here, you're not just another face in the crowd — locals greet you with genuine smiles, vendors remember your name after one visit, and cafés feel like second homes. The community spirit is palpable, with artists, students, families, and old-timers sharing the same tree-lined boulevards. This is also one of the safest corners of the city, offering a 24/7 sense of security that lets you walk freely, day or night. Well-lit streets, community policing, and friendly neighbors create an atmosphere of peace — rare even in top-tier capitals. But what truly sets this place apart is its proximity to nature: hidden green pockets, lush riverside trails, and rooftop gardens provide a surprising sanctuary for birds. Whether you're a casual observer or a dedicated birder, you’ll spot everything from playful weavers to majestic storks. Migratory species often stop here, making it a prime birdwatching destination within city limits. In short: it's a place where urban energy meets calm, where everyday life feels a little bit like a postcard, and where nature doesn’t whisper — it sings.
