Located in Alexandra and only 30 km from Central Otago District Council, Rail Trail Retreat Loft provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The approach to the home is spectacular-a long tree-lined drive with overhanging branches leading to a private estate with English gardens. Our bags were delivered before we arrived and the host family had arranged to have them delivered to our apartment. We had the "loft"- a second floor apartment built upon the garage which had also been built out into an apartment. The resident of the downstairs apartment came out to greet us and was a very charming and welcoming hostess. We found the apartment to have all of the amenities we needed and we were quite comfortable, The location on the rail trail was convenient for our travel but required a significant walk to get into town for dinnner.

Boasting garden views, Grey Ridge Vineyard Experience offers accommodation with patio, around 39 km from Central Otago District Council. Our time spent here was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we left. We were met by our very friendly, warm, welcoming hosts Sue & Paul. After showing us around and asking if we wanted a complimentary wine tasting & tour, we settled in our one bedroom Studio, which was very comfortable and well appointed. We took up the dinner option & had a wonderful, memorable evening full of delicious food, good fun conversation and of course their fabulous Pinot wines enjoyed by all of us. Another highlight of course is the magnificent view from the house over their great garden & extended to the Vines and the majestic background of the Grey Ridge, just amazing! Thanks again for a great time & experience. Bruce and Carolyn

We located in Clyde to ride the River Trail and Roxborough Gorge. Our accommodation was central to bike hire services and cafes. There were lovely walks to enjoy and shops to browse. It was quiet, tidy and peaceful in Clyde.
Great town with personality. Quality shopping available and awesome range of restaurants. Especially the Thai and RSA. Supermarkets options are great too. Recommend time at the local Pool . Nice to relax after an average game of golf. Must walk up to the clock on the hill. Beautiful views. And don't leave without walking over the bridge.
Clyde is a quiet small township off the main highway. It has quite a few cafes, art galleries etc. bike hire etc. We were touring and so only stayed one night but enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Old Post Office with plenty of locals in too.
I was there for a golf tournament. Absolutely awesome place to base yourself and friends. Has an amazing sports complex. I always enjoy a soak at the local pool. Lots of good restaurants to choose from. Including the RSA friendly and brilliant restaurant and atmosphere. Make time to browse around the shops
Clyde is one of the few mining towns that kept its historic center. It has a lovely old town center, and lots of history. Not a ton of restaurants, but good for a couple of days. Cycling is the way to visit the area!
Great cabin - if a bit small. Great view of mountain and cows. Beautiful breakfast and friendly hosts. Ate at Mexican restaraunt (seemed like the only one open). Good food and ambience. Would go back again.
