Friendly, efficient and welcoming staff. Very comfortable bedroom en suite with all the necessary facilities, and excellent water pressure in the shower. Bearing in mind the location within the airport, we were surprised at how quiet our room was, and we slept very well. We had a light supper which was good, but left too early for breakfast. Location was unbeatable for an early departure. 50m from the reception desk down the escalator and straight into the departure terminal! Highly recommended under similar circumstances.

Less than a 10-minute drive from the airport, the location was perfect. We had an early morning flight, and the host thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us in advance — such a warm and kind gesture.

I was there for business, but am a native of Wellington, so not much about it surprises me. It's a great city for walking in because the CBD is relatively compact. There were a few road closures, which was disconcerting (because Google Maps didn't know about them!) and the weather was awful - natives know to never have any expectations of Wellington weather, no matter what the season!
Having said that, on a good day, there's nowhere lovelier.

The motor Inn was easy to find and was close to supermarket and takeaway shops. I Liked the warm cozy feeling and the lay out of the rooms. The shower was spacios with plenty towels, just wish there was a stove.

The one car parking for one bed didn't exist so one had to park outside the subdivision. I had no issues but I probably wouldn't have stayed there if I had realized the parking was like that.
I was offered a microwave which I didn't take but would if staying there as only food related facility was the kettle.
It was difficult to shave and do teeth in the small bathroom sink BUT the facilities were brand new and very nice.
I didn't see Tunde while staying there only his wife briefly. It is a nice subdivision and feels safe. I would recommend as long as people understand about the parking. I ate in Petone shops both fish and chips and Indian and they were very good. One can walk to the shops but at night best to drive - cold and sometimes wet when I was there.

Lower Hutt has many and varied locations and experiences, Eastbourne and Petone have a distinctive feel. Walking and riding is very well catered for and there is no shortage of places to get food. The new cyc;leway to Wellington will be completed soon and offer a wonderful gateway to the city.

Tawa is a convenient, easy place to be based whether you have a car or not, but especially if you have a car. You can drive into wellington easily. Or you can take the train into wellington to avoid the parking nightmare of wellington, and it is equally easy to zip up the coast on the freeway. Tawa has great restaurants, decent shops and an outlet mall.

Te Papa Cafe has really deteriorated over the past couple of years. They now expect customers to "secure a table before coming to the counter to order". International visitors won't expect that, certainly not expected to leave luggage or valuables unattended. The staff we spoke to had no idea how we were able to "secure a table".

Great place to stay with interesting shops, local museum and proximity to beach. Loved the restaurants and cafes. Simply Grill Kitchen was great and the Le Saigon Vietnamese was awesome!
Very close to all transport options - a great weekender or three day holiday to explore shops, beach walk and eat well!

A very comfortable stay for 3 days.
A very comfortable stay for 3 days. Don't expect brand new and shiny but the hospitality is wonderful and the room had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Great places to eat in town and a supermarket if you want to prepare your own meals.
