The rental was in a great neighborhood, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The owner always kept in touch and always told us if we needed anything to just let him know! We plan to stay at this rental for our vacation next year as well!

Everything was perfect. They had everything we needed and more. It was clean. Host was phenomenal, communication was amazing. Landscape was kept up, house was beautiful inside and out. I could not ask for a better experience. I will stay here again.

We were only in town for my wife's eye surgery, but it did not take long to realize there was a lot in Winter Haven. If you are looking for great food, for Breakfast try the Egg Haven on third St (Excellent!) and for lunch and dinner, The San Diego, attached to Howard Johnson Hotel. Winter Haven is well laid out and easy to traverse. If you are looking for something unique in Food Shopping, try Mac's Meats and Vegetables. Great prices and lots to choose from.

I was preparing for some exams, so studying was my major concern.
Did not enjoy Dundee as I should have wanted. But if I get a chance I would love to return to really enjoy Dundee. I used microwave dinners most of the time. I had a rental car and moving around was not a problem. Sorry that I cannot give any information about Dundee because my nose were in the books studying.

Haines City is a small suburban community in Florida. Our luxury vacation home was extremely beautiful in the safe gated golf community of Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. The only draw back is the distance from Orlando attractions such as Disney. Traffic is grid-lock and takes just over an hour to reach Disney. However, a positive is that Legoland is quite close (25 mins by car) for kids to enjoy. As well, the personal pool is quite a highlight for children to daily enjoy. The adults have the highlight of the scenic Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club.

This is Davenport, Florida not Iowa.
This is Davenport, Florida not Iowa. It was 86° when I got there Sunday and Monday morning it was 59° & went up to 74°. Its close to the Amusement Parks and Orlando. The traffic is horrendous everyday! Dennys was in walking distance and the food was great.

It was close to our house.
It was close to our house. It was a fast pick up and go to the motel. We had no power or electricity in our house and the weather was cold so we booked a room took a 45 minute drive got settled and had some dinner and watched television and it was a warm, wonderful feeling, and staff was excellent and helpful and pleasant would recommend it to anybody to ask me. Where did we stay? .

Winter Haven Florida is an amazing city in Central Florida whether you are here for watersports, or just for a holiday. I had dinner at Buffer City on Cypress Gardens Blvd. and I was surprised by the high quality of the food and service. You will love The Howard Johnson by Wyndam here in Winter Haven I cannot say enough about the service it wall excellent and will come back very soon...JP

This was ABSOLUTELY the worst hotel I have ever seen. We did not stay….. prostitution outside walking the sidewalks. Room was disgusting! Lobby torn apart no floors or seats. A poor representation online of the hotel on your sight. It should be taken down. I am waiting for a complete refund.

The use of my relative's community pool was excellent, very well kept.
Restaurants and stores were readily available.
Florida drivers can be terrible and rude to those with an out-of-state license plate, but navigating the city went well.
I would do things differently next time, but I am not sure that there is anything I would avoid.

The area along the 27 has been developed in recent years, with a lot more restaurants, supermarkets and a big Walmart at Cagan Crossing. Where the 27 intersects the I4, Posner Common also offers big store shopping with Target, Dicks, Ross, Rack Room and Hobby Lobby. Easy access to Disney either via Funie Steed Road and Avalon Road to the west or up the I4 to the east, avoiding the traffic jams on the 192. We have stayed in Davenport many times and find it a quieter and easier locality than Kissimmee.

One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at...
One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at Lake Silver in near by Winter Haven on the 3rd Saturday of the month at about 5pm put on by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team and it is FREE Parking and FREE SHOW. This group puts on a great show and they do not get paid but for the Love of the Sport.
Bok Tower is another must see.
Rent a Jet Ski even if you never have. We did not even get wet.
Not to mention all of the Mega Attractions near by.
