We had a great week photographing birds, beaches, lighthouses, and landscapes. We visited Provincetown to Falmouth and towns in between. We even ventured out to Rhode Is. and Connecticut from our centrally located rental home. Although we were there in the slow season, we were able to find some wonderful restaurants serving delicious food! We were fortunate enough to see many Ospreys that had recently returned to the area to breed. We were amazed at how pristine everyone’s property was and how well maintained their homes were!

Great restaurants and centrally located in the Cape for easy drives to all areas. Beaches nearby, and quiet, green neighborhoods make it a nice location to stay.
Some great restaurants we tried were Yarmouth House, Captain Parkers, Sam Diegos, and Old Kings' Coffeehouse

Coming here really made me love MA!
Coming here really made me love MA! There is so much to do; so many quaint streets you can walk. Main Street is a lot of fun - restaurants, shops, live music! I will definitely be back. Getting around was super easy. Not too far from the ferry! I didn't do any of my excursions in Hyannis, but it's a fantastic home base. I loved the airport! Small and so easy to navigate; rental cars on-site; and it was only 8 minutes from my hotel. I loved it here!

Barnstable is on the bay side of the Cape and is almost midway down the Cape so perfect for day trips to the rest of the Cape or Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. There is also a whale watch trip right at Millway harbor nearby. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby.

My husband and I have been to Cape Cod many times.
My husband and I have been to Cape Cod many times. There are great restaurants in the area and West Yarmouth is a good location for travelling to other parts of the Cape. One major complaint we had while we were there was the condition of the main road in Yarmouth. Very torn up and bumpy. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Yarmouth is a small town surrounded by other smalls towns in a wonderfully scenic area. Everywhere you see 19th century historic homes, cute shops, beautiful ocean or lake overlooks. While it doesn't have a particular tourist attraction, it is a good town for a base to explore Cape Cod. Mayflower Beach and other beaches are near. It's a hour from Provincetown and every place you would want to see on Cape Cod was within that driving time.

Great place to go and stay.
Great place to go and stay. Summer home of the Kennedy's and a must visit is the JFK Museum. Main Street is a wonderful mixture of shops, cafes, pubs, bars and other interesting places. You can spend a day walking up and down. There is a wonderful village green where a band was playing when we were there. Walk through it down past the Shanties, artists selling the goods they have made, down to the beautiful harbour where there are ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Wonderful spot.

Typical Cape stuff to do here.
Typical Cape stuff to do here. Beaches, shopping, restaurants. Quite beautiful! Not as expensive as the outer cape. Plenty to do with kids. Lots of opportunities for stand-up paddle boarding. Traffic was not bad. There are lots of different beaches to try. Get Creative and find a spot that suits you. Jerky shop and penguins igloo ice cream are good bets.
