It took us about 15 min with the bus from Union Station and about 25 minutes to walk from the apatment to the Congress. The apartment had everything that we were looking for. Grocery stores and fast food places are in a perimeter of one to two kilometers.

The North Capital Charm apartment has impressive attention to detail, starting from the very beginning with the hosts clear and concise email instructions. As soon as you enter the apartment, the plush blanket and couch cushions welcome you to snuggle up and relax. There's ample space in the bedroom and office space to unpack or organise your luggage. And there's even a lush hair straightener to help tame the most exhausted travellers' hair. The bathroom is small but fit for purpose with great shower pressure, and the washing machine and dryer did a brilliant job for our laundry. The kitchen and appliances are obviously top of the line, which makes for an effortless stay on nights you decide to eat in or cook. Being a downstairs unit means you may hear footsteps or sounds of creaky floorboards from the upstairs neighbour. But this shouldn't take away from your overall experience. It's clear there's been a lot of care put into creating a warm and welcoming space for guests. We would definitely recommend this haven to others.

Really, REALLY close to the Capitol building and great access to the National Mall. The Union Pub is just 4 minutes' walk, as is the Corner grocery store and a Pizza restaurant. We also found a great Mexican restaurant just 9 minutes' away. The apartment is absolutely immaculate; beautifully decorated, creating a cosy feeling. The kitchen is really well equipped and spotless. The bed is super comfy and the living area is spacious and very smart. Great shower, good sized towels too. Really useful washer and dryer. Eammon was incredibly helpful, even popping down with extra coffee capsules. Highly recommend for a great stay in DC.
