This trip traces Egypt’s pharaonic past while travelling by river and rail. In Cairo, you’ll explore the city’s past and present and visit the Great Pyramids — the last remaining of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Along the way, you’ll learn about ancient monuments and the civilizations that built them, with time to take in Cairo’s historic sites and atmosphere.
After your time in the capital, you’ll board a sleeper train southwards to Aswan instead of taking domestic flights. A luxury cruise ship awaits, and you’ll sail the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, taking in the monuments and natural scenery of southern Egypt as you move along the river.
