Stunning location. Unbeatable views of the Douro river and valley. Nothing compares to opening the bedroom large window in the morning to be greeted with such a view. Loved the outside area. Very tranquil and surr ounded with various fruit trees.

Located direct on the Douro River, Quinta da Ermida is surrounded by lush countryside and contains an outdoor pool. Guests can moor their own boats to the jetty or enjoy a boat tour.

This was one of the finest places we’ve ever been! The staff is fantastic, the location is literally perfect! The food was wonderful. Only complaint was the beds were a little too firm for our tastes. Also for light sleepers the train coming through a couple times a night might be a problem. But all the other wonderful factors more than made up for any comfort with the beds or sound at night. We had one of the greatest time of our lives there. We absolutely recommend!!!
