If you are addicted to sandy beaches, there is only one on the island, it is in the South, a 30 min drive (Pachia Ammos). The yard is perfect for families with kids, with picnic tables, playground, volleyball nets. Private parking very safe. Anyway, only the goats are a danger here. You can have breakfast at the nearby taverns, it is close to all the tourist attractions on the island, but I recommend a car. Therma village and Fonias (Tavern and excursion paths) are in a reasonable range for walking, with big trees beside the road. In my opinion, it is the best accommodation on the island, which is perfect integrated in the environment, in the savage image of Samothraki and the traditional style of the villages. The cleaning services are without reproach and the hospitality of the managers is the best you can find.
