Situada em uma fazenda a 8 km de Grundarfjördur, esta moderna pousada dispõe de campo de golfe de 9 buracos, além de WiFi e estacionamento. Parque Nacional Snæfellsjökull fica a 40 minutos de carro. A vista para Kirkjufell. É inacreditável. E com vista para o mar onde são visíveis baleias (se tiver sorte). A zona tem pouca iluminação o que deverá ser perfeito para auroras. A cottage é incrível. Toda feita de madeira e com um terraço. A cozinha é equipada e tem todas as com comodidades necessárias. Apesar de ter uma cottage mesmo ao lado não ouvimos barulho dos vizinhos e existe muita privacidade. Parece que estamos sozinhos no meio de snaefellnes Peninsula. Muito bem localizado. Experiência incrível. Não poderíamos ter escolhido um sítio mais perfeito para ficar.

Marbakki was a very beautiful, secluded property. My family and I loved the design of the house - it was very cozy and made us feel right at home. The villa had a lot of great touches including a well stocked kitchen (various spices, coffee pods, etc.) and yoga mats. The rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it was spacious and very clean. The outside deck overlooking the ocean and the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the ocean and mountain views. I highly recommend taking an evening or morning walk on the beach! Our family really enjoyed this villa and we will keep it on our list for future Iceland trips!

This hotel is on the southern shore of the Snaefellsnes peninsula, close to the water. The modern room (comfort twin with glacier view) was spacious with two chairs, a desk and small table, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with good shower. There are electrical outlets galore in this room. The weather didn't allow for a view but we would have seen the glacier out of our spacious window if the peak hadn't been covered with clouds. The dining room has a very good dinner buffet and excellent breakfast with many hot and cold items. Location is convenient for visiting the Snaefellsjokull National Park (be sure to go to the excellent visitor center at Malarrif) Budir, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, the black pebble beach, and other amazing wonders of the area. Highly recommended.

Make sure you arrive in time to catch the sunset on the terrace! And when it gets dark, the midcentury modern living room is perfect for a cozy night in.
