We are vegetarians and he prepared meals just for us. He also organized day trips for everyone. Emilien also creates an environment where everyone talks and laughs together. Plus the location cant be beaten. Youre just minutes from the trou d'argente. It is really a special place.

It’s tremendously exciting for world travelers to find somewhere very special like Rodrigues Island, 600 km east of Mauritius. Even more intriguing is what the accommodation will be like so far from the populated world. The pick-up from the little airport was faultless despite a common Air Mauritius delay and we were greeted at the Blue Room by John who showed us around and settled us in. The accommodation is simple and entirely unpretentious where everything works, including (now wait for it) wifi that yields, another ‘wait for it’, 320 Mbps! Plenty of water for the shower, hot and cold, with uninterrupted power supply. John can make available a car, a robust 4x4, at rates that, as I told him, are far below market rates. The Blue Room overlooks the somewhat distant Indian ocean that is a short drive away in Anse aux Anglais, down the hill. Restaurant-wise, there’s not a hell of a lot going on in Rodrigues but the local village down the hill offers some animation in the way of two okay eateries and a little grocery store. It’s pretty too. So, it’s a great place to stay (without AC but good fans) and highly recommended indeed. Bravo John!

Eagles Nest Residence har utsikt över havet och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge och en terrass, 1,7 km från Grand Baie Beach. Mr & Mrs Jameson were very warm and welcoming. The cottage is situated on the high where the view is spectacular over the ocean. The cleanliness was second to none. Owner was helpful and felt home. It was my first time at the Rodrigues and can strong recommend the Eagles Nest Cottage. It’s spacious and can easier accommodate a family of 5. The cottage has a kitchen facility where you can prepare a good feast if you don’t feel like going out.

We liked everything about this place, the atmosphere is unique and it's right next to the best beaches. You sleep in a little adorable house and Fred and Clara are taking care of you to have the most pleasent stay. Delicious breakfast and we also tried greate home made dinner. And what's convenient they have also motorbike to rent if you want to see the other parts of the island.

L'Heritage - Vue sur mer ligger mindre än 1 km från Grand Baie Beach och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en trädgård, en terrass, en balkong och gratis WiFi. Fabulous location and peaceful place to be. Close to Port Mathurin. Mr Fabien and his wife were so welcoming. The villa had all the amenites required.

Le Paradiso Apartments ligger 1,8 km från Grand Baie Beach och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en trädgård, grillmöjligheter, en balkong och gratis WiFi. The apartment was great, it was perfect for a family. It wasn't far from Port Mathurin and the owners were lovely and so friendly.

Rêve des Îles Guesthouse ligger i Patate Théophile på ön Rodrigues och erbjuder studior med veranda. Pensionatet ligger nära vikarna Saint François och Trou d'Argent. Top host & great breakfast and if you want great dinner as well

Tigraviers Bed & Breakfast erbjuder familjeägt boende i Graviers, 11 km från Port Sydost. Vissa rum har en sitthörna där du kan koppla av. Very relaxing stay - room was very comfortable with nice view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are served on site and were very tasty. There's also a good restraurant within walking distance. We rented a scooter from the hotel which was more than sufficient to get around the island. There are beautiful walks that can be done from the area along the coast in either direction.

I love everything about this place. Great service, clean room with an amazing view of the ocean. The food was great too. Highly recommended
