We really felt at home and everything was terrific…from the homemade breakfast to the heated pool to the immaculate rooms. The Location is gorgeous and there are some amazing local restaurants. The guide to the area that they have personalized is very special and unique! They have put in a lot of work to the property and the experience and it really shows. The bed is also the comfiest we have come across throughout Portugal. We only stayed 2 nights, but if you can stay longer, there is so much to see and experience, but you can also just power down and relax as well. Thank you casa carvalhal!

The farmhouse was a gem! The stunning view of the river took our breath away every single day. The pool was an excellent addition, and we spent many enjoyable hours relaxing and splashing around in the water. The animals on the property were an absolute delight. It was heartwarming to see how well they were cared for and how friendly they were with all the guests. The highlight of our stay was definitely the horseback ride with "Cavalos no Rio Mondego." Exploring the beautiful surroundings on horseback was an unforgettable experience. The horses were well-trained, and the guides were knowledgeable, ensuring we had a safe and thrilling ride. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay, and we are already looking forward to coming back! Thank you, David and Daniela, for providing us with such an unforgettable experience. Great kitchen. Comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Very up to date bathrooms and on every floor. The yard is beautiful. Right on the water. Fruit trees and ample parking. Hosts are very kind and very nice. The BBQ is wood fired. They supply wood, and you can also pick driftwood from the beach. Quiet setting. We just love this place and we will definitely be back.
