The location was absolutely stunning, we felt like we were at the edge of the world. Our villa overlooking the ocean was hands down the best place we stayed in during our trip to Indonesia; the private pool was such a luxury, and the room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was so special to see dolphins from our room every day! The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay; we felt very safe with our excellent driver Rudy, the general manager Bagus personally picked us up from the airport, Wanto took amazing photos of our sunrise horse-riding experience, and Colin was always ready to greet us with a smile and interesting facts about Sumba. We had zero communication difficulties during our stay. The food was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from; we enjoyed both room service (particularly for breakfast) and also eating in the main dining area. We were able to fully appreciate Sumba's natural beauty and cultural significance in a short period of time (3 days) through the day trips organised by the resort, which were private and fully personalised; the staff were extremely flexible, and tailored the tours according to our interests and schedules. We couldn't have asked for a better stay on this unique island!
