Coming from Tokyo it felt like the perfect place to wind down. The home was beautiful, clean, and well kept. The sauna with the view of the ocean felt luxurious. Beyond grateful for KOTI and highly suggest!

Isoaruki no Yuyado Ushiogumo -6 years or older- features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kawazu, 37 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Our favourite of the four ryokan we had the pleasure of experiencing in Ryokan. What tipped it was the incredible staff, who went to every effort to make us feel welcome throughout, and managed to walk a perfect line between friendly and professional. We were particularly grateful to the one lady who took charge of both our meals directly; this personal touch - making sure you have the same point of contact throughout your stay - seems to be a feature of Ushiogumo, and was very much appreciated. The room and rotenburo overlooking the beach is beautiful, with ample amenities including a charming coffee stand in the adjoining powder room. Dinner was also excellent, with each course prepared and brought to us individually in our private dining area, as well as a sake tasting set that I thought was extremely generous in its proportions. In fact, I think maybe the most skillful aspect of the whole arrangement is that Ushiogumo does well to screen guests from one another, so that you have the impression that the whole ryokan is put on entirely for your benefit.

Amazing facilities - there's Amazon prime to watch, nice futon beds, hot showers with a tub, and very big and spacious home. Location is amazing too. 5mins to the beach!!
