Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

A perfect combination between traditional looks equipped with modern amenities. The location was unbelievably beautiful too. Located on a river that flows into the sea. The personal touch and exceptional service from the hosts made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend it for a relaxing and homely stay. Will definitely return!
