Everything was beyond perfect. I love the seclusion of the island. The first highlight is the ride to the boat pier and the boat ride to the island through Lake Bunyonyi. The welcome by the staff is warm and honest. The property is fully self-sustaining, so if you're not a fan of outdoor latrines, be prepared ;) Hot showers are available but need about an hour preparation time. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate all your wishes and make you feel right at home. I recommend staying in their geo domes as it is an experience you will never forget. The menu at their "canteen" is a dream for vegetarians. Just the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. They organize tours to other islands as well, which I didn't try as I just wanted to relax for a few days before heading to the hustling streets of Kampala. They also organized a gorilla track for me in Bwindi at very short notice, which they made into the perfect day and memorable experience. Thanks again for everything 🙏

The location was very good, near the lake with a good view of Lake , clean, the breakfast was OK , the shower was good and we could wash all clothes and it had good sun for drying clothes

Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, a resort, is a property situated in Kabale. This resort offers a private beach area and free WiFi. The property provides mountain views and a barbecue. My king room with a lake view was lovely - roomy, and extra bed for luggage placement, shelving in the bathroom. The view was the most serene of our two week Uganda tour. The boat ride to the resort because the road was washed out was an added bonus . The food was very good, too.

We’re so happy we got the room with the balcony because it had such a beautiful view and we really enjoyed staying out there. Everyone there was lovely and helpful- when we got a flat tire, they found someone (affordable) to quickly fix it for us. And the food is incredible! We are vegetarians and we had lunch and dinner (and breakfast the following morning) and it was delicious and so memorable. Make sure to bring a flashlight, it’s dark at night! And you need to be able to walk up and down lots of steps.
