Location was AMAZING. Very short walk (1-2 minutes) to the east end of Ipanema beach, very near the rocks where people like to watch the sunset and surfers. Four a/c's with remotes, two bathrooms, so much space to spread out for the three of us. The showers and bathrooms and the overall apartment was very clean and exactly like the photos online. There is a physical key to enter the outdoor vestibule and another one to enter the building but a digital code lock to enter the apartment which was on the second floor, up a set of curving stairs. If you come back from the beach with sandy feet, you are expected to use a key to enter through a door in the garage door and walk back to an outdoor, floor level sink where you can rinse your feet and then enter through the basement level. Host communicated by WhatsApp as we were arriving. We waited only about 5 minutes for the assistant to come down and deliver the keys. We just left them in the apartment when leaving and there was nothing we were asked to do before leaving. Oh, and there was a washing machine that we were able to rinse and spin our swimsuits in and found a drying rack to set up to let things dry.
