We were contacted by the agent upon arrival to let us know the accommodation was ready, which was a nice touch. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay was provided. On our first night we noticed there was only one wine glass and no hot plates/trivets to put a hot oven tray down without damaging the work surface. We messaged the agent and received a reply within 15 minutes. About 30 minutes later there was a knock at the door – it was the owner, who had very kindly gone to IKEA on a Saturday night to pick up two new wine glasses and some hot plates for us. We were genuinely blown away by how kind, quick and thoughtful this was. A couple of days later we had another knock at the door, again from the owner, who this time brought us a bottle of wine as a gesture of kindness due to a small amount of DIY being carried out in the upstairs apartment that day. A really thoughtful touch. All in all, we had a fab week staying here. The accommodation isn’t really within walking distance of the coast, but it’s close enough if you have a car or don’t mind a short taxi ride. Communication from the agent was great, and the host… what can I say – they were brilliant. This really is a gem of a find and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here to anyone. One small point, which we didn’t realise until we got home (and it doesn’t affect our review at all): the advert mentions an outdoor pool, but there weren’t any details about where this was at the property or on Booking.com. It wasn’t an issue for us as we’re not pool people, but if you do fancy a dip you may want to ask the agent where it is.

Great place to relax and enjoy. Stuff is very nice and profesional. Great room with nice view and balcony to chill. We realy enjoyed it every day. And the breakfast is excellent! ☺️

This property is 2-minute walk from the beach. Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort is a resort is set in the town of Costa Teguise, on the island of Lanzarote. Superior conditions for swimming, cycling and fitness with a relaxed resort vibe, great buffet and attentive personell. I had a superb sporty week with great facilities and full of organised Exercise, a grand massage and everyone worked super hard even during Christmas to make that moment extra special too. Note for bookers there is a more fancy Luxury part and I took the more sporty part called "active" with slightly better rates.

The property was so spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might need. The little extras left (wine, cake, soft drinks, crisps) were much appreciated when we arrived after a long day of travelling. We particularly enjoyed the outside area, especially the pool - the children absolutely loved it. Sam, the owner, was very responsive with any questions we had before and during our stay and sent clear instructions about where to find the key etc. It was all faultless!
