From the backyard there's a short trail (even possible for 4-year-olds) down to a beautiful quiet sandy beach. The kids loved playing there, even in the middle of winter. And speaking of winter, it did get cold at night, but the ACs in the living room and bedrooms kept us warm. Still, I'd recommend to bring warm socks when visiting in winter, as the insulation is typical Portugese. The house has everything you need for 7 people. Rental agency (Check-in Portugal) is very fast in answering any questions, I'd definitely recommend them.
