Nothing - we walked away from our reservation and stayed at a hotel. This might be ok for someone in their 20s or 30s on a strict budget, but my teenagers were disgusted (as was I). My key unlocked a door where we woke someone else (in their 30s) up!!! The space is shared, tiny, and pretty gross. Don’t be fooled by the pictures.

The electricity went out several times, one night the electricity was out until morning, no one was answering, we couldn't sleep because of the cold, our food purchases in the refrigerator were ruined because the electricity was out, the next day the person in charge was rude and arrogant in answering us. Our trip was ruined and we ended up moving ourselves to a hotel.

The apartment is freshly renovated with great taste and the condition is like new. It's situated right on the beachfront, so the ocean is literally just across the street. The apartment has two very comfortable bedrooms and a large kitchen/living area plus a small closed balcony. It doesn't have a direct view of the ocean but the ocean is still visible from the window. The kitchen is amazing, with lots of room. It's well equipped and has everything you need. The building itself is very nice. There is a good surf shop and rental in the same building. The hosts were super kind to us and very responsive. The area is also very good. There is a great traditional family owned cafe across the street and to the left called Paradise grill and coffee (it's on R. Eng. Henrique Mêndia like the apartment). A great place for typical Portuguese pastries, coffee and food. Next to the cafe there's a fruit and vegetable stand and around the corner a great small supermarket (MyAuchan). The Japanese restoran Haru was very good and it's just next door.

Host was amazing and very helpful, met us at the apartment, given us directions to the nearest shops and restaurant recommendations

Amazing and kind host that's very friendly. The place is next to the beach and is easy accessible. Very comfy beds and everything that I needed was there. Many restaurants and bars close by. There was an issue with the warm water the first day in the shower, but after contacting the host, someone fixed the boiler within an hour. Very good and kind service. Overall I would recommend this place
