The host came up to our room and offered us a very nuce cake a local speciality. The breakfasy was good, although we where late, there was still plenty food. Nice people, great stay.

We stayed in Mudan because we had rented our own car and thought it would be a good base for exploring the surrounding area, e.g. Shifen, Fulong, etc. And it was perfect for that, everything is close by but Mudan is so quiet and peaceful. We ate dinner in Shuangxi both nights, which is a 10 minute drive away. The host is lovely, and his English is perfectly fine for instructions and for some conversation.

During our cycling trip, we were soaked by the rain. Host was very kind and let us use her washing machine and fan in her drying space. Bed was big and comfortable and the hot water was consistent.
