This location is great, the staff were so friendly and helpful (and quick to respond). Breakfast was really nice. Spacious kitchen and lovely outdoor common area. Not a lot of space for remote/co-work indoors, but the rooms and lockers are spacious and everything was clean.

I had a wonderful experience at Hostel Coati! Yorle and Mauricio went above and beyond to make my stay very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and yes hot showers was a plus. 😊 They decorated for Christmas inside and outside was very beautiful with Christmas music playing outside all day. Mauricio was extremely helpful and accommodating with checking in, booking tours and making sure you had everything you needed. Yorle made my stay very magical and because of that I will miss everyone. I got to spend Christmas with them with an amazing dinner and gift exchange was awesome! They made me a family member during my stay! The breakfast was different every day as well was very filling. The lunch and dinner menu was traditional Costa Rican food with low prices and lots of food. I highly recommend Hostel Coati be your stay in Monteverde. Be sure to say hola from Michael from Orlando Florida for me! 🤗

Rooms are comfortable and cute. There is a balcony overlooking some wooded area. It is very relaxing to sit and listen to the rain. Close to Monteverde downtown and supermarket. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast nook was so cute to enjoy coffee in the morning. Warm blankets are provided because Monteverde can get very cold. Would stay again!

The property is perfectly located, it’s a big family house and the owners are amazing. Eddy and Kat were really nice hostess, they gave us recommendations, helped us booked them and were really nice and friendly. I will totally come back in a future occasion.

The breakfast was good and kept full until afternoon. Very nice and friendly staff. They changed my dorm room reservation to a private room but it was in another hotel in the middle of nowhere. I did not mind the new location though but as a solo traveller it was boring to be the only one at the hotel.

I cannot recommend this spot more!! Gabriel is so kind and knowledgeable about the area and animals. His family all lives in Monteverde and come by to help out and such as well. Feels more like a homestay than a hostel. Such an amazing unique experience! Nice and quiet with privacy as its a far back driveway. Lots of nature on the property and even 2 cows! Stay here if you can!!!
