Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! So FULL of character and interest in such a pretty rural village. Perfect situation for us visiting a War Cemetary and heading for Ijmuiden from our Pyrenéean Adventure. Warmest of warm and witty welcomes from Simon and Dad Charles who generously credits Simon with being The Boss! Both are clearly hugely talented. Breakfast is being prepared early for us as we have a long journey....no trouble. Simon brought freshly picked grapes for us soon after our arrival..delicious. Excited about the prospect of fried fresh eggs from Simon's hens in an hours time! Our apartment is so characterful and luxurious...linen and toiletries and books and things of interest, and when we call again anyone who can play table tennis within 10K had better look out...I'm good!!! The hosts, Stephane and Barbara were wonderful - we were treated like family friends. Breakfast included homemade jams and local produce, and dinner was delicious local dishes and home made wines. also really helped that we could chat with Stephane in English when our French was too poor!
