Falkenau is in an excellent location with close access to the ski slopes in the area. Although we had a car, Falkenau is very near a train station so you could catch a train to the ski slopes . Ursula our host was warm and gracious, always ready with a smile. The rooms clean, quiet and spacious. Breakfast is definitely worth the extra cost. It was a sumptuous spread. Prepared by Ursula, our breakfast table was full of farm fresh, homemade produce including cured meats, cheese, home made bread, cereal yoghurt, stewed fruit, preserves, honey and delicate cakes. It is also worth having a look at the farm animals that Falkenau keeps.

Very friendly host, drinks and home-made produce on offer at the location at very reasonable prices. Also, just to be sure: don't expect a luxury apartment. You're staying on a farm in the mountains where a rooster may wake you a little earlier than you planned. Would come back for sure.

The host was very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The location was quiet, very charming, and nearby various hiking trails. The accommodation was very cozy, clean and all what you need is there. We would definitely recommend staying at Rastnerhof when you want to explore the Dolomites.
