We had a perfect time here, we were a family of three with a 1 year old and the wonderful hostess made the visit fantastic for us. Great japanese cuisine, lovely upper floor which was exclusively ours during our stay. Genuine futon mattresses in a very spacious environment. We really had a lovely time here. Don't miss this gem if you're traveling through.

Amazing new place in Tanabe. Rooms are huge and incredibly comfortable. Tea and coffee provided on the house also very close to train station and Kumano Kodo information center.

Room is clean, no smell at all, walking distance from train station. Plenty of food options around the area. It has fridge in the room! Perfect to store our rice ball from 7-11. Owner is kindly allow us to store our luggage without cost for 4-5 days during our kumano kodo hike. Lastly, we also impressed with the light in our room (not sure other room has same light), it allow adjustments of brightness and set to night/sleeping ambience mode.

Excellent value for money with our sleeping area as pictured. Very spacious accommodation. We were the only guests there, so of course very quiet and private. Our room was upstairs, with main toilet, bathroom and kitchen all downstairs. Our host was lovely and spoke some English very well and took time to explain things. This is a good value property for the price you pay - 2 min walk from Kii-Tanabe station and bus stop to Takijiri if you’re starting the Kumano kodo. Meals not included, but plenty of options in the area (though dinner/ Izakaya open after 6ish in most places) and we purchased some breakfast options at 7/11.

Great hosts and great value! We stayed up until Christmas eve and enjoyed the hosts guitar playing and Christmas carols on our last breakfast. The hosts were some of the most accomodating people we have met.

Everything! The room was clean and it has a terrace on the 2nd floor (rooftop). We had a comfortable stay. The owner of the house is super friendly. She even offered 2 bikes, they were very useful in going to Shirarahama beach. Also she offered to drop us off at the bus stop going to the JR station.
