We booked the traditional house for 3 nights as a group of friends and we had an amazing time! The property itself is so beautiful and well-preserved, it just transports you back to the previous century. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming and made sure to make our stay a wonderful one. We had the luck to experience this place during heavy snow (which made it look like winter wonderland!), so now we can’t wait to go back and see it in the summer as well!

I was traveling through Maramures to visit some of the beautiful, centuries-old wooden churches they have in the region. Ieud was one on my list as were Poienile Izei and Barsana, which are all very close to here. In any case, this lodging is located on the main road in Sieu, so was super-easy to find. They have a prominent sign out front near their gate if the GPS is failing. In any case, the owners are an extremely kind couple, willing to chat and share some palinka. From their backyard, one can "spy" on the neighbors who have sheep, cows, chickens, and a host of other livestock. I thought the room was super-comfortable, the adjoining bathroom was great, and I slept very soundly. There was plenty of space to car my rental car out back as well.

This place was amazing! The room was modern and comfortable while the outside area and the eating spaces were decorated with traditional Romanian elements. The hosts (especially Dna./Mrs. Maria) were incredibly kind and eager to make our stay as nice as possible. The food was more than enough (a bit too much actually), sourced from their own animals/garden, and very delicious. At the end we also got to dress in traditional Maramures clothes. The village (Botiza) was also beautiful and everybody was friendly, and the surroundings were just beautiful (hills and mountains). The air (especially in the morning) was very clean and fresh. The place is perfect to unwind, relax, and enjoy the peacefulness of the Romanian countryside. We fell in love with the place and area, so we'll make sure to come back again a different year.

We Booked with short notice before the checkin and the hosts were super nice and waited for us. The location is very cozy, everything is new and very clean. The rooms with double bed were very comfortable. We highly recommend Gospodaria Klaus.
