Both Lito and Maria were welcoming and helpful and could not do enough for us. It is a perfect stop for people doing the Santiago route but we just wanted an overnight stop in a quiet village . It was perfect and we left with oranges and small presents and very nice memories. Would go there again.

Hostal Plaza Mayor is located on El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and features accommodation in Carrión de los Condes. The hostess is a very helpful, thoughtful & sweet lady. She has prepared takeaway breakfast with chocolate milk for 2 of us. I felt so warm & lucky to stay here in Hotel Plaza Mayor. Both room & bathroom are clean & neat, small desk with chair & window. I have the longest pillow in my entire stay in Camino Frances. You can have dinner just around the corner or walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops & landmarks, don't forget lots of mercatos. They have an in house washing machine, dryer & refrigerator. You paid for the service rendered.

We had an excellent experience in Villa Ferrara, a very cozy and relaxing historic place. The welcome was extremely friendly and the young man who welcomed us was very sympathetic. The rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable and the place is very quiet. The Posada has also a bar/restaurant. The food was basic but good and not expensive. Worth its money and we would definitely come back when in the area.
