The quiet and peace on the canal is so unexpected for London but until you've sat out on the bow or the transom and enjoyed your morning tea watching the ducks swim by you will never understand how lovely and peaceful it is. The Kitchen is a big bonus and having breakfast on the boat and some snacks for the evening was a serious benefit. The information provided will help you navigate the differences as it is a boat after all but I loved it.

It was a very unique stay, and we had much more room on the barge than we thought we would have. It was an excellent location, and it was actually way more quiet than I anticipated given the location. We felt very safe and there were plenty of restaurant options nearby.

Friendly and timely communication. The barge is really close to Paddington and everything you need is nearby, easy to explore the rest of London. Loved going to sleep in the city and waking to the tranquility of the resident coots and ducks, before a short stroll to the cafe boat a few minutes along the canal. Nothing beats getting back to a burner and warm boat in the best city!

My Husband & I have just returned home from a relaxing weekend at Tulana Lodge on Taggs Island, We can’t recommend this place & its host enough. It’s definitely a 5 star experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we arrived to the tranquil feel of island, away from the hustle & bustle of London, Tulana Lodge is beautiful inside & out and has been decorated to a high standard with EVERYTHING you need. Linda the amazing host had freshly baked bread & muffins a bottle of bubbly in the fridge & to many treats to mention. she had even spritzed the bed with lavender spray. The bathroom had every product available. We paid extra for 2 nights hot tub and a massage which are both well worth the money. It’s a Spa hotel experience with the comfort and privacy of a lodge. A win win for us.. Book now you won’t be disappointed!!
