Immediately impressive on first opening the door. Clean, fresh and modern - bedding and furnishing were lovely everything was so nicely done - the milk, coffee machine and biscuits were a bonus. The location wasn't central or near the beach but that is what we liked, it was peaceful and quiet, great to come back to after being out and about for the day.

Initially we were booked in a studio, but this was v small, ok if you were staying a few nights at a conference or similar. Tess the wonderfully helpful reception manager managed to get us an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment with a river view and balcony, this was well worth the extra cost , and really helped make our stay memorable, Kawana is v quiet and peaceful but walking distance to beach shops etc , a car is preferred.
