Most outstanding thing about Casa Arrantzale II is the hostess/owner. If you've chosen this as a place to stay for your first visit to La Gomera, I can confirm you have hit the jackpot. The hostess here will give you a complete-but-compact whatsapp guide to all the best things to see on the island, as well as places to eat, excursions etc. If you let her know where you are going on a particular day, she can even give precise tips for that location or attraction. What is more, she is very attentive to any requests or needs you might have. We found the place a little cold in the mornings (it was November), but as soon as we mentioned this, two heaters were provided the very next day. Excellent service and very pleasant communication. This is all on top of the fact that the accommodation itself really feels like home. The cleanliness and general condition, quality of appliances, decor and so on were top notch. Location is near-perfect as it is very central for trips to other parts of the island and especially good for walks in the central forests and hills. You can get to any part of the island in 40 minutes or less by car.

Underbart läge om man älskar vacker natur och tystnad. Det är nära till Garajonay, och husen ligger vackert och avskilt mot sluttningen. Man kan gå till Chipude på en stig som kantas av blommor på högst en halvtimme, och där finns restauranger och en livsmedelsbutik. Ibland flyter dimman över bergen och skapar en nästan sagolik atmosfär. Sedan är himlen blå igen och solljuset får åter färgerna att lysa.

lovely authentic casa at great (high altitude) location! it overlooks the valley and village of el cercado. the terrace gets sun in the afternoon (west side). because of the altitude it can get chilly when the sun is gone (we were there in february). the house has all the facilities one needs, a complete kitchen with some herbes, even a washing machine. perfect place to start several hikes through the mountains. the place is quiet. no cars, no barking dogs, no screaming kids. silence! perfect for a good nightrest. great matress helped also. definitely recommened!

Very clean apartment, all the kitchen accessories you could need for short to medium term stays. Ad equate parking for the car. Wifi was decent! Very clear check in instructions provided by the host.

Very good value and a restaurant upstairs with good value food, though the chips could be hotter! Helpful staff found me a charger cable and breakfast was great too
