The cottage itself was a cozy house… instantly made me feel at home. Peaceful setting to unwind and reconnect with nature. The interior was tastefully decorated.. Warm and cozy place. Waking up each morning to the sound of birdsong and sunshine. Very peaceful place. The simple pleasure of connecting with the natural world was a welcome escape from the busyness of everyday life. Sauna was like it supposed to be.. great!

Truly recommend! Perfect location, step away from a beautiful lake, in the middle of the forest, surrounded by nature. The place provides calm, quiet and relaxation. The house itself is pure perfection: cozy, perfectly designed, equipped and decorated. Can't imagine a better place!

Perfect location next to lake. The rooms were clean and modern. Everything you need is in the kitchen. Nice sauna area. Possible to go fishing with a row boat.

We stayed for a couple of nights while visiting the Ähtäri Zoo. The house is excellent and the location is perfect. It's a perfect house for families with kids, my kids loved the playroom and the outdoors. The host was super helpful and easy to reach.

Lots of things to do for a family holiday: golf, frisbee golf, table tennis. Sandbox and playroom for the little ones. Common room with a tv and a piano. Short walk to the zoo (there’s also a treetop adventure there) and its hotel where there’s an indoor pool/small spa (not too expensive for outside guests) and a restaurant. Lots of hiking trails too, and a beach whitin walking distance, don’t know what they are like as didn’t try them. The cabins are very clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. Less than 1 km to walk from the train station, but the trains only run twice a day in each direction. 20min by train/car to Tuuri where there’s a free funfair for the kids.
