We stayed five nights and wished we could have stayed longer as there's plenty to see and do in the area and the gite made an excellent base from which to explore. It's clean, smart and modern with every facility you could wish for. There is also small courtyard garden exclusively for guests. The owners live adjacent and are never intrusive but always available if needed. The place offers a unique experience as works of art by the owner are displayed throughout the property and his workshop and studio are next door. It has been a delightful and fascinating place to stay and we hope to return soon.

The person in charge was responsive and gave really good explanations. Our ferry was very delay and we arrived at the property at 2am. We were totally independent and didn’t need to bother anyone at this time thanks to great advance planning from the site manager

Location excellent - an easy walk into Bergues which is a very pretty walled town. The owner was very friendly and accommodating - going above and beyond what was expected in terms of little luxuries. The breakfast was straightforward and sufficient for our needs - bread/croissants/jam/yoghurts etc. Set in lovely countryside and a good family room with space for 5 (with a double and 3 singles).
