We have spent two very nice weeks in La Bergerie. The accommodation and the surroundings are nice, the hosts hospitable and the cider delicious. For all those who want to spend a quiet holiday in the countryside, absolutely recommendable.

The best extraordinary stay of a three-week trip! Sharon and Eddie would always go the extra mile, plus some. The Chateau was out of a movie set…the rooms were large and elegant. The breakfast and dinners were out of this world. The day we arrived we had an outside “tea party” on the manicured lawn and Sharon had fixed cucumber sandwiches and other treats of tea cakes, etc. Fine China added to the touch. It was a great way to meet and talk with Sharon, Eddie and the other two guests. Eddie probably knows more about the D-Day landings than anyone (he was a high-ranking officer in the British Military) and lead for us the U.S. D-Day full-day tour that was unbelievable and so interesting. Sharon ran an amazing tour to Mont Saint Michel, full day, and made it come alive with her knowledge! The dinners and breakfasts…oh my, my! We feel Eddie and Sharon became our friends, along with the other couple that stayed there and those will be the fond moments to remember! Thank you Sharon and Eddie!!!

What made this stay so special is that it felt like coming home but being spoiled at the same time. Dinner was made while we forgot to reserve it. After a day of sight seeing we were welcomed with drinks and little snack. Everything on the site is correct, but it is difficult to describe this service. While other spots were ok, this is a place I would love to return and will recommend it to anyone staying in that area.

Lady very helpful on my arrival. Quick to show me where the ebike could be secure overnight and get charged. Went to put the kettle on to make me a hot drink as we were chatting. Showed me the microwave and cooker etc. Equestrian school location in the country so a most relaxed very different location. Breakfast available in the morning. Next morning as I headed for Cherbourg within a kilometer I found a cycle track Cherbourg to St Michel. A great way to end my 6000km cycle around Europe
