Chantal and Dominique have created a small paradise for their guests at Ecole des Garçons. We stayed at their wonderful home for 10 days with two small children and we would have loved to stay longer still. Because the house was originally built as a school, the rooms are very large (think classrooms) and decorated with impeccable style. Everything in this house is of high quality and selected by the keen eyes of the wonderful hosts. Despite being a historical building, the rooms come with modern comfort (AC), which was required this summer. Because Ecole des Garçons only has a few rooms, it always feels like a private vacation in a very comfy place. The garden is so big, plush and well maintained that you can spend hours exploring it and always find a place in the shade. In the back they have added a sizeable seawater pool with a nice deck to hang out. We absolutely loved it. Our kids also loved feeding the fish in the pond, looking for eggs from the hens and helping Dominique to pick vegetables, fruit and berries from the orchard. The best part, however, is the food which Dominique and Chantal offer to their guests. Every morning, the freshest ingredients are served at a time of your choice. A true breakfast to look forward to. The hosts offer to cook dinner for their guests if you give 48 hours notice. We highly recommend taking them up on that offer (also very fairly priced) and enjoy the three course meals of outstanding cooking as often as your travel plans allow. We enjoyed the food so much and learned new tricks for the kitchen. Dominique is an artist in the kitchen, Chantal a master baker. Many of the ingredients come from their own garden and everything is prepared with much love. Overall, our stay exceeded our high expectations on all counts. We can only recommend to families and couples alike to include Ecole des Garçons in your travel plans. Thank you Chantal and Dominique for making our vacation very special!

It's a beautiful location, so cute and comfortable. It's close enough to Le Mans to shorten our journey to Saint Michel chef chef. Our host was so friendly and accommodating. There was a little welcome basket for us in the house. We were travelling with a dog and our host came with a water bowl and showed us where we could walk the dog for him to cool down. I don't speak French and she was so patient with me, I really appreciated this. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area or travelling in the same route we did. Thank you for such a lovely stay and you're caring hospitality! See you again, I will try and improve my French by then!
