The holiday home is very comfortable and well appointed, offering all amenities that we are used to at home. The garden is quiet and private as is the rest of the property. The property is situated on the edge of a lake and a small natural area offering a wonderful daily stroll around it and to the adjacent countryside. We like staying in the countryside and this home was located in the very middle of it. The countryside in this part of France is quite unique in that the hills undulate more than elsewhere and there is a lovely mix of farmland/meadows and deciduous forests. It reminded me a bit of England, but then with more stable weather and French cuisine in every little village close by ;-). Sancerre, with its renowned vineyards and goat's cheese farms, is a 15-minute drive and next to that the area offers some interesting activities and sights. Finally, Luc, the owner, is a wonderful host, easy to deal with and just a phone call away.

The owner was very nice and kind. In spite of the language issue, we managed to communicate each other through an app. She also offered me beer and even a jug of wine.

A beautiful property in the countryside, it was so quiet and peaceful. Valerie and Phillipe were amazing hosts, such a fabulous breakfast with fresh pastries, jams, juice and coffee, it was faultless. They also gave us some excellent wine tasting recommendations which were very helpful. The photo’s can’t capture just how beautiful this place is and how serene the setting is. Simply stunning from start to finish, we were sad to leave.

The accommodation was perfect for us. The surroundings were beautiful and tranquil. The house was modern and clean, with all the facilities we needed, like an iron, and a coffee maker for the mornings. Despite it being very hot outside, inside it was nice and cool. And the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

The owner was there when we arrived. She speaks excellent english. She showed us all the facilities and made us feel very welcome. She also suggested a restaurant for lunch and where we should go to taste and buy Sancerre.

Really authentic chateau. Looks like I'm 100 years ago. But new matrasses and good toilet, bathroom and hot water. Lovely host. This is like I go to meet my grand grand mother in her chateau.
