This is the ultimate retreat , and couples paradise . I will definetly be back to use the private pool and hottub . Cheryl and Ben were the most amazing hosts . You do not need to worry about a thing the minute you arrive. Cheryl has thought of everything . Amazing stay , spotlessly clean , super comfortable . Very private and peaceful location looking out at the amazing french countryside . The only noise you will here is mother nature . I cannot wait to come back to the chadalais again in the future sooner rather then later ! Cheryl has given the most amazing attention to every detail throught out the chadalais to make the place really feel like home . You would be blessed to come across a place like this . Cheryl and ben are so helpful and friendly they do there absolute upmost to make your stay amazing . This was the best trip we ever had . Super friendly and helpful hosts (live in the adjoining cottage). Spacious, attractive and comfortable accommodation with well equipped kitchen area in a quiet, peaceful hamlet. Local village with shops and cafes, etc just 3km down the road. Great value.

The most beautiful gite with everything needed for a wonderful, relaxing stay. The gite is situated in the most peaceful location and ideal for nature lovers but at the same time, ideally sited for visiting the fabulous surrounding area. The owners are a wonderful, welcoming couple and nothing is too much trouble. They have thought of everything to provide the best stay for their guests.

Lovely owners, sharing a deep appreciation of the atmosphere of the place and its surroundings. The place is perfect as a base for hikes/mountain bike tours. The nearby lake (30 min walk, 10 min cycling, also accessible by car) was splendid, the water temperature was quite ok. It was never busy there, and particularly quiet in the morning/early afternoon. The house remained cool throughout the week, even though it was 30+ degrees on most of the days. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The decoration of the house is special, I thought about taking photo's to capture all the little details, but that would have taken up most of the holiday :-) so I'm content with the memory. As the owners also showed us their workplace and explained the trade they are in, I understand where all that attention to detail comes from. A nice bonus to our visit was being invited by our neighbours staying in the nextdoor gîte, who had wine makers in their family, to have an an apéritif with them. I guess a place like this just draws nice people to it :-)

John, the host was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Offering great service and a friendly chat, while very much respecting privacy. I could use the little swimming pool whenever I wanted, and enjoyed the coffee and tea provided in the Tower, plus even a very nice glass of wine! Aside from that, the 'Tower' - which it really is, was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, everything that I needed, and more. It was very quiet, as the place is located in the middle of nature, animals around, loads of stars at night, and a lot of opportunities to discover by foot, bicycle or car. Couldn't have wished for anything more to get my downtime!

We loved our stay at The Lodge. The apartment had everything we needed, and the swimming pool was a bonus in the hot weather. Our host John was a joy and incredibly helpful.
