The house, gardens and pool are outstanding, the photos really don’t do the property justice!! It’s clear the owners Joan and Eddie have spent a lot of love and hard work here. The pool area was perfect with open views over the field next to it. There are many different sitting areas which was lovely, we were spoilt for choice! The house itself is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Fans were in all the bedrooms which were needed in the heat, although the house kept nice and cool. There was a lovely welcome back which was appreciated and Joan and Eddie were the perfect hosts! The local Irish bar which is ran by their daughter is a real delight. Fabulous cocktails and themed meals in the evenings. There is a local lake and small beach at Saint Mathieu where you can swim and hire pedalos, kayaks and paddle boards. So many places to visit around here with a great market on a Wednesday at local Piégut-Pluviers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, thank you to Eddie for his kindness to our son, he said to tell you it made it back in one piece!

Great place, clean, included all the kitchenette utilities. Special thanks to John, who is a great and hospitile host. I was arriving by car and came very late due to traffic, John was up to meet me, show the room and hand over the keys. Definitely will stay again when in the area and highly recommend.

Our host John was so helpful. We were able to use the pool and come and go as we please. The location was just outside a pretty village of St. Mathieu. The accommodation was like home away from home. The space inside and outside was lovely. I would highly recommend this property to couples.

Super friendly and helpful hosts (live in the adjoining cottage). Spacious, attractive and comfortable accommodation with well equipped kitchen area in a quiet, peaceful hamlet. Local village with shops and cafes, etc just 3km down the road. Great value.

The accommodation was excellent, fantastic hosts everything was so clean and tidy and they thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. Their attention to detail was exceptional, a hidden gem. We will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.
