La maison de la Traverse is stunning, beautifully designed and decorated. Everything is spotless and new and it had everything we needed. Check in was easy and Nadia was super-responsive and friendly. She gave us lots of useful information before we arrived (eg about parking, which was very straightforward, and the fact that there is no supermarket or proper grocer in the village so pick up supplies on the way). Saint Guilhem le Desert is a gorgeous village - the house is on the main lane up through the village but there's no traffic so it's very quiet. There are various restaurants, cafes and bars, and gift shops. The river is just a few minutes walk away - we had a great day canoeing (which did involve a few miles by bus), and a fantastic swim off the beach at the famous Pont du Diable, which is just a few minutes by car or bus. The swim was just unforgettable - we were told to go in the evening to avoid the crowds which was great advice.

The apartment is beautifully decorated. The kitchen extractor is positioned high, to be above head height! 👍 The rooms were very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The apartment is right on the edge of the village of St Guilhem le Desert, so very handy for visiting the village. We were given a note to place on the dashboard of the car to enable us to park for free on the public car park across the road. There are some lovely walks at the top of the village, one of which, to the Cirque, I did. We also had a tour around the Gorges de l'Hérault and de la Vis and visited the Cirque de Navacelles. Very impressive!

Everything was fantastic. A beautifully restored home in a perfect location. Wonderful views, quiet even though it's on the main street. Exceptional value for the quality. Very convenient and free parking.

The central location for the village is great, and yet the room was was very quiet and you could even hear an owl at night. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a view of the river at the back. Lovely shower room. The landlady was very amenable.

The place is super central, in the main square of the village. The studio is cosy, everything is there. The owner helped in finding the keys on the day of arrival.

Beautiful, old accommodation in the centre of Saint-Guilhem. We walked on the Chemin D‘Arles and loved that the accommodation has a self-check-in available, so we could arrive whenever we arrive. Check-out was equally easy.

The property was beautiful, it was immaculately clean, lovely pool and the breakfasts were amazing! It is situated in a lovely little town with bars, restaurants and bakery’s! It is a 10 minute walk to the free bus station that takes you to Saint Guilhem le desert where there is so much to do, beautiful sites and restaurants! It is also 10 minute walk maybe less to the devils bridge and a river beach. Our favourite thing about the property was its owners Yann and Virginie, very lovely people, beautiful inside and out and we enjoyed speaking with them all week! They go above and beyond to make your stay lovely! Directing you to the attractions, home made jams and fruits for breakfast and going out of there way to ensure you have everything you need. We are English and they are French but they worked hard to speak English to us! We will return every year now! We stayed a week and it was the most beautiful trip!
