The owners, Adrian and Jill, were delightful and very friendly. They also assisted us with various issues we had with extreme good grace. The Gate Keepers cottage was beautifully done up and breakfast was tasty…. Fresh Croissants and pain de raisin straight from the bakery…lovely meal out at Trompe Souiris. Recommended. We wish you every success with your new ventures.

I was greeted by the hosts who were welcoming and charming. On arrival, I was immediately made to feel welcome. I was shown the accommodation which was spotless. Maud and Frederic are very sincere, friendly people. They made us (me and my dog) feel so welcome. I could not recommend Le Gite de L’Octroy highly enough.

Pierre and Patrick were very friendly and helpful. Despite us arriving late, we were greeted with coffee. We enjoyed breakfast especially the homemade jam, and their company - felt more like visiting friends than paying guests. The bed was very comfortable, the room had an ensuite, although there was no tea and coffee in the room, Pierre and Patrick made us coffee in the lounge. They also helped us by booking dinner in a local restaurant. We were able to explore the abbey which was beautifully appointed and the grounds surrounding it - their lounge was full of beautiful, antique furniture, and art work. The stay was very comfortable and relaxed, and a much nicer experience than staying in a big hotel chain. We will definitely come back and stay in the future, and would recommend it to everyone.
